Call for Participation

Welcome to participate in C4W 2022, Guangzhou, China, July 8 - 10, 2022! Guangzhou, a city in spring forever, is the capital city of Guangdong Province. Guangzhou is also the third largest city in China, located in the north of the Pearl River Delta, close to Hong Kong and Macau. With evergreen plants and flowers blooming all year round, the city has an alias of "City of Flowers". Guangzhou is one of the first batch of 24 historical and cultural cities released by the State Council, with more than 2200 years of history and profound cultural heritage, and also a major terminus of the maritime Silk Road. Guangzhou is one of the most famous tourist resorts in China, with a lot of tourist sites, such as Baiyun Mountain, Guangzhou Tower, and Yuexiu Park.

In recent years, with the rapid development of Internet technology, cloud-based network computing models are prevailing. In the face of massive service requests, due to the intensive demand on computation, storage and network bandwidth resources for open network computing services, traditional cloud computing is prone to encounter performance bottleneck of cloud servers. In addition, the security problems in network computing services become more and more serious with the increasing complexity of network hardware and software components. Therefore, it is urgent to propose new network computing service models. The collaborative computing with cloud and client is one of the most rapidly developing mainstream research in the fields of network computing. Compared with traditional cloud solutions, hybrid solutions with cloud side and client side assisted by edge servers can reduce latency, improve scalability, enhance access to information, and make business intelligence more agile. Therefore, we should focus on solving core technical difficulties, conducting research and development of key product solutions, mastering key software and hardware technologies, and realizing the industrialization of collaborative computing platforms with cloud and client.

The 13th International Workshop on Collaborative Computing with Cloud and Client (C4W 2022) will be held in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province from July 8 to 10, 2022, by the Institute of Computer Networks, Guangzhou University, China (http://trust.gzhu.edu.cn). Experts and scholars related to collaborative computing with cloud and client from educational and scientific research institutions in the world will be invited to attend the workshop. The workshop will provide a platform for experts and scholars to exchange ideas and results, so as to deeply explore future technological innovations.

The C4W 2022 workshop follows the success of C4W'21, C4W'20, C4W'19, C4W'18, C4W'17 in Guangzhou, China, NOPE'19 in Guangzhou, China, NOPE'18 in New York, USA, NOPE'17 in Sydney, Australia, NOPE'16 in Tianjin, China, NOPE'15 in Helsinki, Finland, NOPE'14 in Beijing, China, NOPE'13 in Zhangjiajie, China. The conference aims at providing a forum for researchers and practitioners to discuss and share their research and development experiences. The goal of this workshop is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to discuss and share their research and development experiences. We welcome contributions within a broad range of network optimization and performance evaluation, from fundamental information theoretic results to considerations for network quality of service.
